I wrote this poem back when I was taking a calligraphy class to learn the half-uncial style. We had an assignment to write out a poem in that style. As was pretty usual for me, I didn’t want to write out someone else’s poem; I wanted to come up with my own. So I did. This one is is called “Shedding” if you can’t make out the letters!

Ah Janet. You still shine!
I see your words
I see your face,
So filled with dark edged humor's grace.
Composed and calligraphed par moi.
That's so beautiful!
